Raffles

We made it to Raffles.  I always imagined it to be set in its own parkland, but no!  It occupies a whole block - which you wouldn't think, looking at it from the front.

There are shops within the Raffles complex and a lovely courtyard area.

We found the famous 'Long Bar', frequented by such as Somerset Maugham, Noel Cowerd, Liz Taylor and other glitterati.

We'd decided that we had to stay for lunch ....

Raffles is like something from the days of the Raj - they have Sikh flunkies ....
