First Impressions

So what were our first impressions of Japan?  It’s very hot and the humidity level is off the scale.  If you hold paper out in the open for a while, it starts to feel damp.  As we landed at around 8am, the temperature was already 25 Celsius / 75 Fahrenheit with the promise that it could get only hotter!  You get the same feelings as you do in Florida – that you’re in what is part of a big weather system and you can feel the power of it.  All around it’s green and everything is spotlessly clean and tidy plus, crowning glory of all – they drive on the left.  It seems strange to see all the road configurations looking strangely familiar but with American-type green signs overhead at junctions.  There are also a lot of Japanese makes of car around!
